# Codex Link

Codex Link is a private web and mobile console for synchronizing local Codex tasks through the official Codex app-server protocol. The repository contains the Flask server, local agent, PWA, Android client source, and desktop installers.

## Repository safety

This repository intentionally excludes production databases, pairing credentials, logs, signing keys, generated installers, and deployment secrets. Do not commit any file from `data/`, `backups/`, `static/downloads/`, or an Android keystore.

## Development

Requirements:

- Python 3.10 or newer
- Windows PowerShell 5.1 or PowerShell 7 for Windows installer parsing
- NSIS 3 for Windows packaging
- Pillow for client icon generation

Run the server locally with explicit secrets:

On Windows 11, install Python, Pillow, and NSIS, then build only the Windows package:

```

The generated file is `static\downloads\Codex-Link-Windows-Setup.exe`.

## Deployment

Use environment variables or `/etc/codex-bridge.env`; never place real credentials in source control. See [deploy/codex-bridge.env.example](deploy/codex-bridge.env.example) for required keys.
